This is how I celebrated Women’S Day! At Stassjon with friends and a famous, Norwegian author and needlewoman. I wish I could make my own clothes, I’m tired of all the mass produced stuff from China. But I guess a sewing machine is the clue for success… And I don’t have one. Shoot. But I can always be inspired! And this was such a nice arrangement, I’m not so into marching, I prefer listening to an inspiring woman who decides herself what she wants to be, drink good coffee and watch great self-made clothes.
A journalist asked me if March 8 is a day we still need in our modern society. Of course it is, I replied. Women are subjectes to violence and supression all over the world. I’m a proud feminist, but that doesn’t mean I hate men. There are many great men and what would the world be without them? Quite boring. But I’m also tired that my sex is constantly objectified and put under preassure of being sexy. The standards are put up by an industry that want girls to have a low self esteem. But I argue that a good self esteem is much sexier than a pretty face and a perfect body. The ability of being self-ironic is a quality of much more importance than a nice cleavage and pretty hair. I want happy girls fully satisfied with how they were created ❤️
My Friday blessings. Correcting papers and drinking coffee. Teacher’s life 😨😨 #teacher #coffee
I love my new Converse shoes! Bought in South Carolina, used often since. A great English session with my students is over, we are working with The Hunger Games these days. They love it and I love it! ❤️📖👍 #converse #teacher #the hunger games
Eating homemade potatoe mash leftover while watching Jennifer Lawrence trip on the red carpet at the Academy Awards. I love that girl! And I love potatoe mash with a hint of garlic. ❤️#academyawards #jenniferlawrence #leftover #potatoemash
Ethiopian, organic coffee and my new grinder. No problem when a friend brings the good stuff to my house 👌❤️☕️ #visit #coffee #organic #iloveit
A friend stops by and it is so nice to have a little chat, drink organic coffee and snack biscotti in my living room. I’m very proud that I’ve managed to maintain these friendships from my childhood ❤️
I’ve been in deep trouble lately. My winter break was totally ruined, I spent most of it as sick. On Monday I almost broke into my doctor’s office because the itching made me crazy. Diagnose: Hives. Not contagious, but extremely pesky. I haven’t been to work the last days because there was a huge risk I could harass someone. And because sleepless nights gives lack of energy. I can’t teach in a zombie-ish condition.
